JOB TITLE: PROJECT OFFICER 
LOCATION: WA, UPPER WEST REGION OF GHANA 
JOB TYPE:  CONTRACT (ON-SITE)

Foundation for Global Life Changers is a non governmental training organization that aims to empower individuals, businesses and companies to become positive change-makers in their communities and the world at large. The Foundation's mission is to support and equip corporate organizations and individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others, and to help them achieve their goals and aspirations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our team. 

POSITION SUMMARY 
The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of projects and programs aimed at empowering individuals, communities and the new generation of leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs. The successful candidate should have experience in writing winning proposals or excellent grant application writing skills, excellent project management skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for driving positive change.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Coordinate program planning, execution, and evaluation .
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. 
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities, and develop winning proposals for grant applications
  • Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to achieve program goals. 
  • Foster partnerships with stakeholders and collaborators to advance the Foundation's mission. 
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal requirements and industry standards. 
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to inform operational decisions and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams. 
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring the Foundation's reputation and integrity. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior management.

 JOB REQUIREMENT 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in project management, preferably in a non-profit organization. 
  • Proven track record of writing winning proposals for grant applications. 
  • Proven experience in community development, empowerment and capacity building 
  • Excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Experience working with rural communities and vulnerable populations. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Project Management software.
  • Strong commitment to the Foundation's mission and values. 
  • Ability to drive or ride a motorbike with a valid license..

  • Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to maximize productivity and efficiency.

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial sustainability. 

  • Collaboration: Foster partnerships with external organizations, stakeholders, and communities 

  • Adaptability: Respond to changing circumstances, priorities, and deadlines. 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software applications, data analysis, and digital tools.

  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. 

  • Cultural Competence: Understand and appreciate diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
